If Your Phone Consumes Too Much Data, See How To Stop it Here

It’s sad to subscribe or pay for mobile data that should cover you for a month, only for it to get exhausted before the month ends, sometimes it might even get exhausted in a day or two.

In this article I am going to show you two ways to do stop your phone from consuming too much data, I’ve been using these two methods to meter or control how much data my phone consumes when my network or data connection is on, and so far I can boldly say it is effective for me and I hope it is for you.

So please don’t just keep it to yourself, share it to others as well thank you.

The two things you are going to do are:

1. Turn on “Restrict Background Data Usage”

Here, all you have to do is go to your phone’s settings, go to mobile data and services, then select data usage, and observe the apps that consume more data on your phone, then select or click on the app, and scroll to “restrict background data usage” you can do that on all the apps that consumes more data on the phone.

Once you’ve done that, those apps will only use up data when you open them, and not when they are minimized as they do before.

This will go a long way to help you curb how much data is used up on your phone every time you turn on your network connectivity or data connection.

2. Set Data Limit

This particular one is best when you want to determine the rate at which your mobile device consumes data, and also when you want to determine how much data you use per time.

This is also very effective in stopping excessive data consumption on your phone, because you have the ability to control or meter it to your data need per time.

To set your data limit;

1. Go to settings

2. Go to network settings, and click on data usage

3. When on data usage, click on data warning and limit

4. Click on data limit, and set the limit to the amount of data you want to use for a specified time frame.

Like I said, I’ve been using these two methods to control my data usage, and it has worked well so far for me, I hope it does for you.
